WHAT IS THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE (TPU)?

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU): is an inert material that is widely used in the medical and infant care industries. Known for its high clarity, non-allergenic characteristics, and ease of manufacturing and processing. TPU is free from VC, Rubber, Latex, Chlorides, lead and does not off gas any VOCs.

TPU is referred to as a "plastic to smile about" by medical design engineers, making it a clear choice for our company in comparison to other materials. TPU can be recycled both mechanically and chemically and, in some cases, be blended with organic blocks in molecule chains to become biodegradable.

Our Countertop Protection Film is constructed using TPU, making it the perfect option for everyday use thanks to its assortment of functional properties:

  • High elasticity

  • Supreme transparency

  • Resistance to oil, grease, and solvents

  • Abrasion resistance

  • Heat resistance

  • Low temperature performance (when used in room temperature settings, TPU is soft to the touch)

  • Resistant to impact

  • UV and weather resistance
